Apoquel is a fast-acting formula for the treatment of atopic dermatitis, food allergy, and allergic dermatitis in dogs. It provides relief from itching and works without compromising immunity. Apoquel contains an active compound called oclacitinib, which has anti-inflammatory properties. It provides relief from short or long-term allergic reactions within 4 hours of administration. Moreover, Apoquel is safe to use in dogs older than 12 months of age that weigh 6.6 pounds or more.

Apoquel- Anti-allergic treatment for dogs

The active compound in Apoquel, oclacitinib, is a Janus Kinase Inhibitor (JAK). As a result, it inhibits the cytokine function which is responsible for carrying out allergic reactions in the body.

Direction for use

• Tablets must be administered orally in accordance with the weight of the dog
• Standard Apoquel dosage as recommended is 0.18 to 0.27 mg/lb (0.4 to 0.6 mg/kg)
• Administer it twice a day for up to 14 days, with or without food. Later give it once a day as a maintenance dose
