Eqvalan Duo Paste for Horses

Eqvalan Duo is an oral paste specially formulated to treat multiple worm infections in horses. It eliminates tapeworms, lungworms, roundworms, neck threadworms, large-mouth stomach worms, hairworms, ascarids, pinworms, and small and large strongyles. This paste is effective in killing mature and immature forms of worms. It contains Ivermectin and Praziquantel as active ingredients. Praziquantel causes muscle spasms and Ivermectin causes paralysis in the worms, which leads to their death. These compounds work together to prevent future infections. This treatment is safe for use in pregnant or lactating mares. It should not be given to foals under 2 weeks of age.

Ivermectin and Praziquantel

Direction for use

• To determine the accurate dosage, weigh your horse
• Calibrated markings are given at every 100kg
• Adjust the syringe to set the appropriate dosage, to do so turn the ring on the plunger ¼ turn to the left and slide it to the desired weight marking
• Now lock the ring by turning it ¼ turn to the right, so that the two arrows are aligned
• Remove the cover from the syringe
• Insert the syringe into the horse’s mouth and deposit the paste at the base of the tongue
• Immediately raise the horse’s head to ensure that the paste is consumed

Dosage

A single administration of 200 µg Ivermectin and 1mg of Praziquantel per kg of bodyweight corresponds to 1.29g paste per 100kg (220lbs).
