How do Nexgard Chewables for Medium Dogs Work?

Nexgard flea and tick treatment contains a powerful ingredient, afoxolaner. Afoxolaner induces hyperexcitation and thus uncontrolled activity of the central nervous system in insects and acarines, resulting in their death. Nexgard begins to kill fleas four hours after administration and kills fleas before they can lay eggs, thus preventing subsequent infestations. Effective against 5 different types of ticks, Nexgard is proven to prevent Lyme disease infections after black-legged tick infestations 28 days after treatment.

Direction for use

• Weigh your dog and get the appropriate pack of Nexgard for dogs.
• Administer the recommended dosage to your dog orally with or without food.
• Observe your dog for a few minutes and ensure that they consume the entire dose.
• If any part of the dose is left unconsumed or if your dog vomits within 2 hours of dosage administration, administer a full dose again.
• Administer Nexgard dosage to your dog once every month.
• If a dose is missed, administer one dose immediately and resume the monthly schedule.
• Consult a veterinarian if you need help determining the appropriate dosage.
